Wilma Atanasio Obituary Wilma J. Atanasio was born November 12, 1933 in Paris, Texas to Earlie Mae and James Mitchell. She departed this life on October 27, 2011 surrounded by family and friends.Wilma was an extraordinary woman who dedicated her life to her family as her highest priority. She moved her family to Salt Lake City, Utah and raised her six girls to be strong, independent women who are today well educated and very successful in their professional and family lives. Wilma also raised her sister, brother and grandchild.In 1965, Wilma moved her family to Cleveland, Ohio to reunite with the love of her life Odell A. Johns. She was also an intelligent and ambitious woman who decided after raising her children she wanted to assist her husband in his Real Estate business. It was there that Wilma discovered that Real Estate was the job that she loved and she became a licensed Real Estate Agent. She spent the next 25 years working in this industry, much of that time was with Hill Top Realty.She was married to Marcello Atanasio 1976.Wilma later moved to Nevada where she spent her retirement years until she returned to Cleveland for the remainder of her life, which ended on October 27, 2011.She will be dearly missed by all who loved her. Wilma leaves to cherish her memories six daughters: Carolyn Kalil of Los Angeles, California, Gwendolyn Haynes-Worth of Cleveland, Ohio, Margaret Young of Las Vegas, Nevada, Wiletta Lynch of Cleveland, Ohio, Kathi Scott of Riverside, California, Deborah Simerka of Woodmere, Ohio; granddaughter, Wendy Johns of Cleveland, Ohio; a sister, Wanda Dyer of Detroit, Michigan; a brother, Donald Mitchell of Paris, Texas; and a host of other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
