Virginia Williams Obituary Virginia L. Williams known affectionately as Jenny to her family and friends lived a life that was filled with love. Born on the eighth of September 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio, Jenny’s journey on this earth was the testament to the power of passion and perseverance, concluding on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Hospice of Western Reserve. Virginia’s life was a canvas painted with the love of the Lord and her family. She was the cherished daughter of Clifford and Gertrude Bailey (Preceded in death), her life was further enriched with the bond of her one and only sister Rosa M. Bailey. Virginia graduated from East High School in Cleveland, Ohio graduating in 1969. Immediately after high school Jenny went on to work at Ohio Bell in downtown Cleveland, where she was awarded many accolades such as TV’s, radios and monetary compensation for never missing a day of work. Virginia gave her life to Christ at an early age. She later joined New Sardis Primitive Baptist Church 1979 and loved her church family. Jenny served on several ministries: Noon Day Pastors aide, vacation Bible School, Youth Council, Sunday School, Bible Study and Culinary Ministry. Virginia had a kind generous spirit that loved the Lord. She had quite a soft spirit and a voice of an angel with a sweet personality to match. Although we rarely saw Virginia get mad and knew when she was, she would look over the rim of her glasses and she would begin to flip her top and roll her eyes, it was then we knew to settle down. Auntie Jenny as we affectionately called her, loved to do arts and crafts and was very creative. Although she never had children of her own she took pride in being the greatest Aunt. Holidays were special to Jenny, every year she made sure her niece and nephews would receive Easter and Halloween baskets. She also loved to bake and had to have the recipe down the science. She loved helping her nephews with homework and school projects. Jenny’s memories will continue by her sister and best friend Rosa M. Bailey, India Bailey (preceded in death), great nephew Jason C. Lilly Jr. (preceded in death), great niece Jada and great nephews, Javon and Javen Lilly survived her. She also leaves to celebrate her sweet spirit a host of cousins, adopted niece Shirlein Leggon and nephews Cortez & Chaze’ Harris, church family and longtime partner Ronald Jones, caregiver Amber Jones, Natasha Goggins, dear friend, Rosie Singleton and Danielle. Today, as we reflect on life, we should be reminded that every day is a gift to be cherished. As we reflect on Jenny’s life, let us carry forward her kind and generous spirit and her unwavering commitment to family. Let us honor her by living our own lives with the same vibrancy and dedication she exemplified. She showed us the measure of a life well lived is not in the wealth or accolades one accumulates but in the laughter shared, the hands held, and the lives touched.
