Thoris James Obituary Thoris James, born on May 10, 1946, in Alabama, lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication. She was the cherished middle child of Nora and Warren Hatcher. Her family moved to Cleveland, Ohio, which brought new opportunities that she embraced wholeheartedly. Alongside her older sister, Lawana Hill, and younger sister, Cloteal Fleming, Thoris thrived in her new surroundings. A bright and driven student at John Hay High School, Thoris discovered her passion for healthcare early on. She dedicated her life to caring for newborns as a nurse at University Hospital, and then went on to work at Hough Norwood healthcare center where her compassion touched many lives. It was during her high school years that she met her loving husband, Harold. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising two children, Harold and Nicole. Thoris balanced her roles as a devoted mother and a dedicated nurse, instilling in her children the values of education, hard work, and kindness. As a grandmother, Thoris found immense joy in her grandson Dedrick and her granddaughters Mackenzie and Mylah. She cherished every moment with them, spreading her warmth and love with every hug and smile. Thoris had an infectious zest for life, always seeing the good in others and finding joy in the simplest things. Her laughter was contagious, and her spirit was uplifting. She was known for her generous heart, always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her passion for promoting health and wellness was evident in her work and her daily life, as she encouraged everyone around her to embrace good nutrition and regular exercise. Thoris found solace and inspiration in her faith, attending church regularly and listening to gospel music. She was a creative soul who enjoyed reading, painting, and of course shopping, finding joy and beauty every day. Thoris was a beacon of selflessness, always putting others before herself. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength. She is survived by her sister Cloteal, her beloved children Harold and Nicole, and her treasured grandchildren Dedrick, Mackenzie, and Mylah. She also leaves behind her nieces, Kimberly, Angela, and Corrie, who will forever hold her memory close. Thoris was preceded in death by her parents, Nora and Warren Hatcher, her Uncle Leo, and her eldest sister, Lawana Hill.
