Ranelle Alease Gamble

Ranelle Gamble Obituary Ranelle Alease was born on June 2,1941, the only child born to the late Everlee (nee:Holman) and Albert Gamble in New York,New York. Ranelle completed her undergraduate studies at New York University. She was a social worker while in New York before coming to Cleveland,Ohio. Ranelle later earned her Juris Doctorate from the Cleveland- Marshall College of Law.She practiced law for many years as Senior Corporate Counsel for The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company and Centerior Energy Corporation. In 1994, Ranelle joined the law firm of Hardiman, Alexander, Buchanan, Howland and Trivers where they focus on general civil litigation. Ranelle was a lifelong communicant of Saint Louis Church and later St. Ann's Catholic church. She was a very active member of the American Association of University Women. Ranelle was a member of the Cleveland Doll Club, the Northern Ohio Doll Club and the United Federation of Doll Clubs having served as president of the Northern Ohio Doll Club twice. She was honored by the Cleveland Doll Club for doll presentations regarding Dolls of the World and Dolls of Color. As a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,Inc. she served as President of the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter from 1977-1981. She was also an active member of the Western Reserve Chapter of The Links, Incorporated achieving Platinum status for her many years of friendship and service. Ranelle was a very kind , gentle and engaging person who was dedicated to the advancement of women in the legal profession and the election of women in public office. Ranelle entered into eternal peace on Monday,November 9,2020 at the Hillcrest Hospital. Services will be private. A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate her life as soon as practical due to COVID -19.
