John Neal Obituary John Tillman Neal was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 7, 1973, to Homer and Georgette Neal. John transitioned from this life on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Ahuja Medical Center at the age of 49. John was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church where he attended for many years. John Neal was endearingly known as Big John. John was an East Tech Alumni class of 1992. John was proud to be a Scarab. John continued his studies at Cuyahoga Community College. John entered the work force working with his father as an electrician, John went on to work for Cleveland Clinic for over 20 years. John also worked for the Board of Elections where he became a Precinct Judge. John loved electronics. John would always have the latest gadgets and devices. John loved music. The entertainment world was a huge part of his life. John was a DJ who promoted events across Cleveland Ohio. John lived life to the fullest and loved taking frequent road trips. John especially loved going to Idlewild to visit the family cottage. John met no strangers and would do anything he could for any and everyone. John never wanted to see anyone without and was always willing to help. John gained a community of friends from his neighborhood. John was well known and loved by many. John was preceded in death by his father Homer Neal and brother Clarence Townsend. John is survived by his mother Georgette Neal, brother Omar Neal (Debbie). Three sisters, Dr. Betty Neal Crutcher (Ron), Peggy Walton (Al), and Jacqueline Blair (Joe). Maternal Aunt Joan Dawson, Cousin Fred Henahan, III (Andrea), nephews, nieces, and a host of relatives, and friends. John also leaves to mourn the love of his life and forever a light in his heart Sherece Russell, along with his extended Cleveland family Connie and Ron Ford, whom he affectionally called mom and dad, Johnny Mae Russell (known as Grandma Goose), Schaneka and Will Floyd, his brother and sister, niece Tamika Hawthorne, nephews Javantay, and Demario Floyd, Donnell Russell, and the Russell Family. John is also survived by Anthony Martin Jr., his childhood best friend, brother, and business partner.
