Gregory Alexander Fletcher

Gregory Fletcher Obituary Gregory Alexander Fletcher was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 15, 1949, to the late John and Edna Fletcher. He was the youngest of three children, with two older siblings, Geraldine Fletcher Coleman and John Fletcher, Jr., both of whom preceded him in death. Greg grew up in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood of Cleveland. He attended Robert Fulton Elementary School, Alexander Hamilton Junior High School, John Adams High School, and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. He continued his education at Cuyahoga Community College and The Ohio State University, majoring in psychology. Greg began his professional career at National City Bank. He later worked at Ohio Bell and AT&T. After leaving AT&T, he held telecommunications and IT roles at LTV Steel, Realogic, Computer Associates, University Hospitals, and OhioCat. On August 30, 1986, Greg married Sandra Eulinberg, and they had two children: Morgan Alexis and John Alexander. Greg was formerly married to Deborah Person, and they had one daughter, Erika Mari. Greg became a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church in 1988. Over the years, he served in various positions at the church including chairperson of the Trustee Board, Finance Committee member, and serving as an usher. He also supported many fundraising events with his well-honed culinary skills. Greg was an avid sports enthusiast. As a youngster he played baseball and ice hockey. During his early adult life, he enjoyed touch football and squash. Later in life he participated in armchair sports. He watched all sports, including soccer and wrestling. He was most passionate about The Ohio State football team and particularly their rivalry with the University of Michigan. He loved cars and car racing. He was known for getting up early on weekend mornings to watch a Formula One race. Greg was a technology early adopter. He kept up with the latest advancements and trends in technology and enjoyed exploring and using cutting-edge gadgets and devices including his drone. Greg led a full life filled with the love of family and friends. He had a strong independent nature and always spoke his mind. He was intelligent, witty and known for his candor. We celebrate him and the impact he had on our lives. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Sandy, daughters Erika and Morgan, grandchildren Erik and Alexx, and a host of family and friends.
