Geraldine Sneed Obituary Geraldine Sneed, affectionately known as Deanie, was born February 23, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the third of five children born to the late Thomas Dixon and Izetta Williams; Gertrude, Howard, Thomas and James who all preceded her in death. She attended Cleveland Public Schools and worked for University Hospitals of Cleveland where she retired after 30 years of service. In her teenage years she met Edmond H. Sneed, Sr. (deceased) whom she lovingly called Sneed. They married March 5, 1955. Together they raised six children, Valerie (William), Edmond, Jr. (deceased), Andre, Michael (Fredericka), Victoria and Anthony whom she affectionately called Ant’ny. Geraldine was one of the strongest, sweetest and courageous women to ever walk this earth. The family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. She was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all. She enjoyed spending time with her family at her favorite places like the movies and casino. She loved a good action-packed, butt-kicking film. More so if there was a woman lead. The casino was her absolute favorite place in the world. She would be filled with joy, lighting up like a kid in a candy store. Her favorite part was to hear the machines ringing. We will remember her for many things, including her generosity, her stories, and her infectious laughter. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Geraldine was preceded in death by Edmond H. Sneed, Sr. (husband), Edmond H. Sneed, Jr. (son) Gertrude (sister), Howard (brother), Thomas (brother), and James (brother). She leaves to cherish her memory five children; Valerie Fambrough, Andre Sneed, Michael Sneed, Victoria Sneed and Anthony L. Sneed, ten grandchildren; Christopher, Shauna, Chester, Theresa, Andre (Poppy), Michael, Torrie, Thomas, Sharmanita, and Tarel; nine great-grandchildren; Mikey, Zamya, Joseph, Cayla, Zya, Za’Ryan, Za’Rya, Amari La’Nee, and Andre and a host of relatives and friends.
