Fredrick Clopton Obituary Fred Clopton was born September 23 1935. He was born to Rives Clopton and Irene Franklin in Luverne Alabama. When he was a baby his parents moved to Ohio. Eventually settling down in Youngstown Ohio. He attended South High School where he met his high school sweetheart and love of his love of his life Willea Bea Taylor. They met in Science class where she asked to borrow his colored pencils. It was love at first sight for them both. He married Bea on September 15 of 1954. They married right before he left officially for basic training. During their marriage they had four beautiful children (whom precede him in death) Cynthia Clopton, Tyrone Clopton, Jerome Clopton and Constance Clopton. They made a home in Puerto Rico, Brooklyn New York, the finally settling in Warrensville Heights Ohio. Fred traveled the world before he settled in Warrensville Heights. He enlisted in the United States Navy in August 18th 1954. He served in the Vietnam War where he says he learned about honor and respect. He served under John McCain Jr. on the Fleet reserve. Where he received many accolades. Fred remained on Active duty for 22 years serving his country. Once he retired he did recruiting at his own 6 man recruiting station in Warrensville Heights. He would recruit new talent from all the high schools in the Cleveland area. The Navy was always his second love after Bea. He always had amazing stories an great laugh talking about it. Fred later worked for Picker international recruiting medical engineers and scientist. After ten years with the company he decided to start his own business named Clopton’s Placement Service. He officially retired in 2006 to enjoy his family. Fred had many hobbies which included watching and playing basketball. Singing and dancing off beat and key. One of his favorite songs to sing was mama love mambo. He also loved to BBQ and watch a good boxing match with his nephew and grandchildren. He was also a dedicated member to the Warrensville Height VFW post. He was a jokester and would keep you laughing. He also had one of the warmest and kindest hearts he was always there for friends and family. Fred Clopton will be loved and missed he Leaves behind His Nephew William (Billy) Erwin, Daughter/Granddaughter Shardey Clopton, Granddaughter Cunawasha Grissett and Grandson Khalil Grissett. Great Grandchildren Victorious, Nevaeh, and Christian. Havyn Karrionna Grissett and Zhuri and Kiyah Grissett, also Cai and Camille Grissett.
