Doris J. (Watkins) Croley

Doris Croley Obituary Doris Jean Croley was born on August 6, 1933 to parents, Clark Holmes and Jesse Watkins Wallace in Canfield,Arkansas. She was the first born of their four children. Doris was baptized in the Catholic faith at an early age. Doris graduated from St. Edwards Highschool for Girls, in Cleveland,Ohio. Soon after, she met and married the love of her life, Gilbert A. Croley. To this union five children were born; Deborah,Linda, Sharon, Gilbert, and Charisse.Thier daughter, Linda Campbell preceded her in death. Always devoted to her family, Doris was a stay-at-home Mom during her children's early years. Once her youngest child reached school age, Doris looked for opportunities outside of the home which allowed her options to serve her community and fulfill her passions. She was a school crossing guard, and a kindergarten classroom aide. She enjoyed both positions, but eventually moved on to work with children and adults with developmental disabilities. Doris served people with developmental disabilities for 22 years. and retired from the CCBMRDD, April 1,1993. Doris spent her retirement years bowling, traveling, supporting her many favorite charities, hanging with her club members, the Modernettes, helping with her many grandchildren and welcoming her family and friends around the kitchen table. Doris departed this life on November25 , 2020. She leaves to cherish her memory; her devoted and loving husband, Gilbert; children, Deborah Dunams ( Timothy), Sharon Mutlaq,Gilbert C. Croley ( Anna ) and Charisse Hogan.; grandchildren who called her,"Ganner", Danielle Board ( Omar), Cicely Campbell, Alexis Carter (Michael), Taylor Croley, Hasan Mutlaq, Nicolette Mutlaq, Timothy J. Dunams, Andre Hogan, Andrew Hogan, Mitchell Alex Croley, Brian Dunams, Denzel Mutlaq, Brooks Brown, Velanie Croley, and Gilbert Croley,Jr.; seven great - grandchildren, and five great - great grandchildren; sisters, Pearline Young, Gloria Arnold, and Earline Porter, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends...will all miss her terribly.
