Clarence Robinson Obituary Clarence Robinson was born May 14, 1942, to Della Mae Robinson-Freeman and Edward James Mitchell in Como, Mississippi. At an early age, The Robinson family moved to Chicago, Illinois to start a new life. Clarence attended Chicago Public Schools and graduated from Calumet High School in 1960. After graduation Clarence became a father and joined the workforce with Home Juice Company and Cook County Jail, as a Correctional Officer. In 1969, Clarence moved to Cleveland, Ohio with two of his best friends. He started his employment journey here as a Security Guard, for the Cleveland Public School District. His first stop was Rawlings Junior High, until the board of education closed the school. His next and final stop was GLENVILLE HIGH SCHOOL, as Head of Security. He gave all the students he encountered HIS ALL, WITH WORDS OF WISDOM, IN REGARD TO EDUCATION AND LIFE IN GENERAL!!! Clarence became assistant coach to LaDonna Winston-Johnson, for the boy's track team. He also served as a time/scorekeeper for all sporting events and a proud supporter for all fundraising events involving the children of GLENVILLE. In 1974, Clarence met Rosiland Drake and married May 12, 1979. To this union Basil Zakee was born. Clarence was a father and grandfather to Ramon Robinson. Clarence loved and respected family and friends. He spent his extra time enjoying his love for nature by hunting, fishing and camping. He was a proud member of The 2-Fifths Social Club, C-7, The Dirty Hearts and Soul With A Touch. Clarence was loved by all whom he encountered. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Rosiland; four sons, Daude, Nick, Terrance, and Basil; only daughter Vanessa; mother, Della Mae Freeman; two sisters, Ruby Mitchell and Deborah Vaughn; three sister-in laws, Orletta Drake, Reverend Kay (Joseph) Jones, Donna (Roger) Burney; one brother-in-law, Othis Drake; two godchildren, Rafiq and Tahira; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
