Charles Jackson Obituary Charles Edward Jackson was born February 3, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Brown and Emma Jackson. He was the third of thirteen children born to this union and was introduced to Christ by his parents at an early age. Charles graduated with honors from John F. Kennedy High School in Cleveland, Ohio. He continued his education through an apprenticeship with John’s Electric of which his Uncle John Jackson was the proprietor. Not only did he develop the skills for his lifelong trade as an electrician but he and his uncle shared many conversations about the importance of morals, character and placing the Lord first in his life. Charles did not have to go far to find the love of his life, his neighbor, Carolyn Graves. The two were united in Holy Matrimony on July 13, 1991. Charles was a dedicated and loving husband. He was Christ centered, which was evident in his relationships with family, friends, and church community. Charles and Carolyn built their life together through their faith in God and love for one another. They attended both Advent Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served as Church Counsel President, worked on the Property Committee, Finance Committee and Men in Mission. He would also attend St Henry/Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Charles often said “If you think about a person, call them.” He never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest with simple pleasures by hosting volleyball and card games for family and friends. His hobbies included taking family photos and scenic shots when traveling. He loved to cook, especially for family and friends. His favorites were desserts and pork dishes. Charles was called home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. He has gone to his heavenly home to be with his family that proceeded him Brown Jackson (father), Emma Jackson (mother), Clarence Jackson (brother), Aaron Jackson (brother), Margaret Monroe (sister), James Jackson (brother), and Kenneth Jackson (brother). He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Carolyn; brother: Nathaniel Jackson (Betty – deceased) sisters: Beverly Smith (Cornell), Christine Jackson-Grady (Earl), Karen Wilbon (Willis), Sharon Johnson (Alvin), Rosemary Jackson, and Francine Smith (Jermaine), In-law’s: Tosha Jackson (Clarence – deceased), Carlton Monroe (Margaret – deceased) Ivy Jackson (Kenneth – deceased), Yvonne Graves, Ralph Graves (Donna), Joyce Goin (Maurice). Nephews: Rahkahmiel Jackson, Raymond Johnson (Sabrina),Gary Dartez, Isaac Smith(Claudia), Isaiah Smith (Jossette), Aaron Wilbon, Adam Wilbon, Jermaine Smith, Ralph Graves, Brandon Graves, Maurice Goin VI. Nieces: Monique Graves-Banks (Katrina), Amber Goin, Jerri Grant, Stacey Wilkerson, Jamonica Williams(Clarence), Michelle Grady, Carla Boyd (Raphael), Jennifer Jackson, Chloe Jackson, Ciara Jackson, and Emmaria Smith. I did my best to be a good husband, son, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, God-Father and friend My spirit was full of joy as the angels ushered me in I hugged Mom, Dad, Aaron, James, Clarence, Margaret and Ken Don't you be sad - Shed tears of joy While on earthly ground - Honor God - cherish life - each other and friends Don't let your heart be troubled - we each can hear you Keep all in prayer, we are with you!!
