Carol Hinnant Obituary Carol Yvonne Hinnant was the only child born of James Hinnant and Nolie Elizabeth Hinnant on March 2, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio. Carol was adored by them and the apple of their eyes. Carol was an avid Christian and a lifelong member of the Bethany Baptist Church family where she was a valued choir member and a dedicated member of the Intercessory Prayer Team and the Lela Lewis General Missionary Ministry. Carol graduated from Glenville High School in June of 1964. She attended Tennessee State University and Cleveland State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Education in August 1975. Carol was employed by the Euclid School system as a kindergarten and elementary teacher at Memorial Park Elementary School. Ms. Hinnant enjoyed a successful and enriching 27 year teaching career impacting the lives of a multitude of children developing and encouraging the next generation until her retirement in 2011. Carol adored her students and they also loved her dearly. Ms. Hinnant was a woman who wore many hats during her lifetime. Dedicated teacher, notary public, realtor, certified respiratory therapist, Worthy Matron for Elizabeth Grand Chapter O.E.S., successful entrepreneur and accomplished poetess. Carol was a dear friend to many, always willing to help another and she touched many lives as she was diligent in her efforts to prosper and move forward in life. Carol was a devoted daughter to her parents James and Nolie and cared for them tirelessly until their passing. She was a lover of animals, particularly cats, her precious pets. We knew Carol for her positive attitude, her encouraging ways and love for all. Carol Yvonne Hinnant departed this life on December 2, 2022. Her life partner, Raymond Clark preceded her in death. She will be sorely missed. Cherishing her memory are a host of loving cousins, special friends, co-workers and neighbors.
