Ruby Lane Obituary Ruby B. lane was born April 3, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the 2nd born to the late Eugene and Gladys Lee Bailey. Ruby departed this life on April 22, 2016.At a young age, Ruby was baptized at St. Henry's Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. She continued her membership with St. Henry's until their closing and continued her catholic faith until her passing.Ruby was a product of the Cleveland Public School District. She graduated from Central high School in 1944. Ruby married Harold H. Lane; the love of her life on September 14, 1946. During this union four beautiful daughters were born. Ruby started her professional career with Boman Products and Dial Financial Company during the 1940's to the late 1950's. Ruby also worked for the Higbee Co. in downtown Cleveland starting in 1962 and retired in 1992.Ruby was a member of a social organization called Les Belle Fleurs. Through this organization the members would have family and community functions She was also a member of the Women's Guild for St. Henry's helping bring together the women of the church community, promoting spiritual well-being, charity and friendliness.Ruby loved life and cherished her family. She enjoyed traveling and keeping fit.Ruby leaves to cherish her memories; three daughters, Deborah (Gary) Hogan, Hollace (Renard) Woods, and Shari (Larry) Carr; six grandchildren, Charlotte Boddy, Christopher Lane, Dontez Williams, Malcolm Lane, Jr., Jamill Lane, Jr., and Mason Lane; and four great-great grandchildren, Jaida Boddy, Zyheir Walker, Amazi Boddy, and Aiden Lawler.Ruby was preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Lee Bailey (April 1986), her father, Eugene Bailey (February 1989), her sister Gloria Bailey (April 2008), her daughter, Marla Lane (October 2007), and her beloved husband, Harold H.
