Rosa Roberts Obituary Rosie (Rosa) Louise Wilson was born in Kinloch Missouri. January 25, 1921. To the late Earley Wilson and Celia (Harris) Wilson. The second of six children. Rosa was born and lived most of her young years in Kinloch, Missouri She was a Graduate of Douglass High School, in Webster Groves, Missouri As a young adult she moved to Michigan, to work in manufacturing in order to support our troops and Country during WWII. Then she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where, she married Lewis J Roberts. From that marriage, they raised 4 amazing children (smile). Rosa was baptized at a young age. She was truly a solder for God. She had time set aside every morning to read the Bible. She loved and lived for God. She not only followed his teachings. She encouraged it in her home and in her children and grandchildren. She truly practiced what she preached. Rosa was a dedicated member of Eastview United Church of Christ. She served for many years as a Deaconess. She assisted with welcoming visitors to the church. She also worked with various fund raising committees within the church. Rosa was a stay at home mom until her youngest children finished elementary school. Then she was employed with Bamberger Reinthal as a knitter until the plant closed. Then she was employed with National Art Crafts, where she worked as an assembly clerk, until she retired. After retiring Rosa volunteered for years with the Cleveland Schools tutoring elementary school students. She was an active member of ” Ladies on the Go” travel club, in Mt. Pleasant. Rosa was a classy lady that enjoyed theater and good music. She was an excellent seamstress. She enjoyed making several of her clothes, and her children’s. And furniture slip covers. We will surely miss her soft voice, her kindness, helping hand and loving sprit, along with her words of wisdom. Preceding her in death: her youngest daughter: Paula J. Hood, her brothers, Earley Jr., and Alfonzo and sister, Dorothy Mae Johnson. She leaves a loving son, Steven Earl Roberts. Two loving daughters, Dianna Roberts (Kenneth), Nanette Burks (Harold). Her sister, Gladys Jackson of Indianapolis, IN, and her brother, Ulysses Wilson of Cleveland, OH. sister-in-law Dorothy Wilson of Cleveland Hts. Oh. Ten incredible grandchildren(smile); Seventeen adorable great-grandchildren(smile).
