Raymond Daugherty Obituary Raymond Daugherty, was born on July 26, 1936 in Cleveland Ohio to David & Callie Daugherty Sr, both deceased. Raymond was the last of the nine children. Raymond was educated in the Cleveland Public Schools, loved and often talked about growing up in the 37th street area, where he had a lot of fond memories he graduated from East Technical High School in 1955. On February 9th 1961 He married his sweet heart the love of his life Millie Brown, to that union 3 children were born Darryl, Katrina and Michael. Raymond enjoyed various jobs until he joined Hough Bakeries where he was employed for 33years until his retirement.During his life he enjoyed many recreational activities such as Basketball, with his sons, family and friends in the neighborhood. Raymond was the original bad boy on the basketball court you would literally get beat. Moreover his love for Baseball stood out, as his nephews claim he could throw a rock from around the corner and hit you with it. Sugar Ray as he was also known as by his family and friends was also an avid and a very smooth dancer with his wife Millie, known for his famous stomp folks often thought he would put a hole in their floor ,friends and family would gather around just to see him dance.Raymond became ill on his 81st birthday, though his mantra was to never give up and fight on he lost his battle 8.26.2017. Raymond attended New Revelations Baptist Church, under Pastor Andrew Howard, he leaves to mourn his wife Millie, his three children Darryl(Diane), Katrina(Kevin), and Michael(Pauline), Leroy Daugherty, 4 grandchildren Brittany(Ronald),Michael, Bria, and Matthew, 1 great grand daughter Riley and a host of other relatives and friends.
