Patricia Jackson Obituary Patricia Ann Jackson (Pat) was born August 12, 1958 to Theodore and Minnie Sanders in Cleveland, Ohio. At the age of five she was adopted by Minnie’s second husband, Louis Oakley who became Daddy until her death. Pat grew up in the Lee-Harvard area of Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from John F. Kennedy High School. After high school Pat married Larry Jackson Sr. and from this union, they had one child together. Along with their son Larry Jackson, Jr. she lovingly helped raise her husband’s children. Pat later had her youngest son, Brandon E. James. Soon after, she was remarried to James Webb and also helped raise his children as her own. Whether married or raising them as a single parent, her first commitment was for her two sons to become god-fearing husbands and fathers, which they both are today. Pat began her career in the banking field at Society Bank later known as Key Bank in Cleveland where she worked for over twenty years before going into the non-profit sector. Pat learned her work ethic from her entrepreneurial parents where she worked in her father’s businesses as a young child and into her teen years. She was known as a faithful employee and loved by her co-workers wherever she was employed. Her faithfulness was exemplified by her love for her work at Catholic Charities, especially the Prime-Time Senior Program who she planned weekly activities and local day trips where she traveled with and cared for her seniors like they were her own family. She also coordinated holiday events for Mother’s Day, and the highlight of her work at Catholic Charities was the annual Christmas give-away Every year including 2020, Pat solicited donations to purchase and donate gifts to children in need. Her work ethic was proven by her working as hard as always even while she was sick until the week before her final admittance into the hospital. Everyone who knew her, knew that Pat absolutely loved the Lord. Pat was baptized as a child at Elizabeth Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastors Fred Hall and Lindy Winston. She continued her Christian commitment and evangelistic journey later in life at Emmaus Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Vincent Ligon. Pat was actively involved in the Evangelism, Altar and Prayer Ministries at Emmaus. During this time, she developed a personal passion for sharing Christ. She witnessed to, prayed for and led many to salvation. Even in her final days her greatest desire was to witness to those who did not know the Lord, to pray boldly for those in need and to make sure forgiveness was extended to anyone she needed to forgive.
