Pamela Davis Obituary Pamela Ann Davis, affectionately known as Pam, was born September 25, 1955. She went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2022. Her mother Betty Watts Davis preceded her in death. She was the oldest of three girls, and loved her family and friends dearly. Pam accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Antioch Baptist Church. She was a very active member and part of several ministries including BYF, The Baptist Youth Fellowship, and the Young Adult Choir. Pamela matriculated through the Cleveland Public School System. She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1973. While in school she formed many close friendships that she has maintained to this day. Pam was a Girl Scout, a Candy Striper at Suburban Hospital and learned short hand and excellent typing skills that would benefit her throughout her life. After high school Pam attended Kentucky State University, her beloved father’s alma mater. Her first day on campus she met Curtis Lee Snowden Sr. They were inseparable. They married in 1979 and had two children, Curtis Jr. and Ashley. Pam loved her family and enjoyed living in Lockport, NY. She participated in many winter activities including skiing, snowmobiling, sledding, and horseback riding. She loved traveling with family especially to family reunions in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Though their union ended, they remained life-long friends and still participated in each other’s family activities. While in Cleveland, Pam met and married Greg Hemphill. They established a successful security business together. Pam took pride in her new found skills and enjoyed carrying a gun on her hip. Her sister nick named her, “Dirty Harriet”. Pamela loved family and her friends. She was always there for you and would do anything for you, including caring for her companion Hodges Cashmere until his death. She loved hanging out with friends and watching football. Pam also enjoyed sending out birthday cards and she never forgot your special day. Pam cherished family and she never missed a niece’s or nephew’s graduation. She loved traveling with the family, especially to Walt Disney World. Pamela loved her children Curtis Jr. and Ashley. She was so proud of the adults they had become. Pam adored her granddaughter Sidra and loved hearing her say, “Nana, can I tell you something?”, “Nana I got something to say”. It seems that Sidra has the gift of gab like her Nana. Pam leaves to cherish her memory her father, Lytle T. Davis, stepmother Johnnie Butler Davis, her children: Curtis Lee Snowden Jr. (Ashley) and Ashley Elizabeth Snowden, stepson Antonn Hemphill, granddaughter Sidra Snowden; sisters Deborah E. Zimmerman (James) and Leslie Groom (Lavon); and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
