Leonard Veal Jr. Obituary Sunrise: June 29, 1938 Sunset: April 8, 2023 Leonard L. Veal was born in Cleveland, Ohio on June 29, 1938, to his parents Leonard Veal Sr. and Barbara Veal. He was raised by his wonderful parents Horlice and Barbara Veal Clark. Leonard accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. He graduated from John Adams High. On June 28, 1965, Leonard met and married the love of his life, Louise Ramsey, they raised two sons, Lucius Rene’ Thomas and Kenneth Leon Veal. He retired from I Schumann and Company. Leonard was preceded in death by his loving wife, Louise Veal; father Leonard Veal Sr.; mother and stepfather Barbara and Holice Clark; father and mother in-law, James and Magnolia Washington Ramsey; maternal grandparents, Ella Mae Fields and Gilbert Fields; son, Lucius Rene’ Thomas, Sr.; three aunts; two uncles; four sister-in-laws; seven brother in-laws and four first cousins. He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Kenneth Leon (Melanie) Veal, Sr.; one sister, Sheila Billingslea (Mike); two sister-in-laws, Dorothy Jean Allmond,; Barbara Ramsey; seven grandchildren, DeMika (James) Hill; Renee’ (Christopher) Miles; Lucius Thomas, Jr.; Erica Thomas; Kenneth L. Veal II.; Michael (Ashley) Simmons; Chaz Veal; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; thirteen first cousins; a special daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Thomas; several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends; and a several close friends, Juan Nelson, Darryl Barksdale and Janice Abernathy.
