June Antoine Obituary June Sallee Antoine(1929-2016)Devoted wife, of 63 years, to Dr. Albert C. Antoine and beloved mother to: Dr. Janice Antoine Lumpkin (deceased) (Carl), Albert Sallee (Evelyn), Edward Sallee (Nina), and Lawrence Sallee; went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 15, 2016.June was born on March 3, 1929 to Cora Nell Collier Sallee and Charles Louis Sallee Sr. of Sandusky. A graduate of Sandusky High School (1947), June earned a B.A. from Ohio State University (1951), a Masters Degree from Case Western Reserve University (1956), and completed additional graduate work at John Carroll University and Cleveland State University. She enjoyed a long, fulfilling and influential career as an educator, arts advocate and philanthropist.In addition to her husband, 3 sons and 2 daughter-in-laws, June leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Nicole Lumpkin Fields (Andrew), Jessica, Jordan and Olivia Lumpkin; Kelley Marie Antoine; and Asa Antoine) and 1 great grandson, Theodore Fields, all of whom she adored. She is also survived by her sisters: Dr. Regina M. Williams and Mrs. Angela S. Blount as well as a host of nieces and nephews with whom she shared mutually loving relationships.Visitation will be on Sunday, November 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the E.F. Boyd & Son Funeral Home, 2165 E 89th Street, William E. Boyd Sr. Way, Cleveland, OH. The funeral will be held on Monday, November 21st at: Plymouth Church UCC, Shaker Heights; 2860 Coventry Road, Shaker Heights, OH. A Delta Sigma Theta Omega Omega Service will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Family Hour at 10:00 a.m. and Service at 10:30 a.m. Internment will following at Knollwood Cemetery; 1678 Som Center Road, Cleveland OH 44124.
