Henrietta Henderson Obituary Celebration of Henrietta Henderson Henrietta Henderson (Gibson), was born February 11, 1952, to Henry Gibson and Addie Payne, who both preceded her in death, in Cleveland, Ohio. She accepted Christ at an early age and always remained firmly planted in her faith in God. She attended Cleveland Public Schools, where she met the absolute love of her whole life, her soulmate, Clifton Henderson, Jr, who preceded her in death. Immediately upon graduating from East Technical High, they married on September 26, 1970 and would have celebrated 50 years of marriage this year. During this most blessed union, was born their beautiful baby girl, Tyra Nicole on October 7, 1977. One and a half years after welcoming their one and only, Henrietta, affectionately known as Hen to all that knew her, went to work for University Hospitals Health System, where she spent the majority of her career as a Medical Secretary in Rainbow Babies and Children. That career would span a total of 41 years…working for 36 years straight and deciding to retire in 2015. But that was short lived as she went back to work 6 months later in the same position where she remained a valuable asset until her death. If you knew my mom, you knew she wouldn’t be able to stay away from the one place she knew her whole life and she proved that up until the day she died. I said, “it’s time for you to sah’down somewhere” and she said, mind yo’ business, I’ll think about it next year!” Next year wouldn’t come as God said it was time for her to “sah’down in Eternity and moved her from years of labor to reward on December 17, 2020. She lived a full active life where she worked hard each day and knew how to have fun! Hand-dancing and card playing was her thing! And for the last 7 years, she made Kung-Fu her thing too! Hen enjoyed life and didn’t take one day for granted. She always had a positive word for anyone and always made you see the brighter side of even the worst situation. Even in the midst of her own battles, she managed to not complain and keep a smile on her face. Henrietta leaves to mourn her passing: her daughter, Tyra, her siblings: Herman “Buddy”(wife Madeline); Melvin “Billy”, and Timothy “Tim” (wife Tonette), Play Brother, MacDuffy Jackson (Mack); Nieces and Nephews: Desi, Dennis, Derrick, Jacquie, Marcie, Lavida, Clinton, Vicky, Velva, Melvin Jr, Tanetta, Tanesha, Timothy, Jr, Valerie, Delbert, and Erica; cousin, LaToya, Bestfriend AKA Pahtna’, Patricia (Pat); a host of great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins. A special group of adopted daughters and sons and a plethora of friends and coworkers too numerous to name. Her sister, Gloria, preceded her in death. DUE TO COVID-19..
