Eva Gosha Obituary Eva Elisabeth Gosha was born in Fort Deposit, Alabama to the late Jimboem and Lela Mae Hawkins on February 28, 1932.She was the eighth of eleven children. Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death, Almeta Hawkins, Virginia Shields, Mollie Mae Roper, J.C. Perdue and Lloyd Hawkins.She accepted Christ at an early age. She grew up in Birmingham, Alabama until she was 15 yrs old and left for Detroit, Michigan where she meant and married James Wooten Sr . who proceeded her in death To this union on one son was born James Wooten Jr.She moved to Cleveland, OH in the late 50's and opened up a restaurant "Eva's Grill". In her neighborhood she was known to some as Ms. Eva or affectionately called "Ma" by many. She met Sylvester Gosha Sr. who proceeded her in death, They married on September 15th 1995 they had a long prosperous relationship full of fun they both loved to entertain! She was one of the most giving people you would ever come across she never met a stranger anyone that came in contact with her became attached to her. She had the best advice in the world, it may not have always been what you wanted to hear but it was always real and many respected her for it. She had a heart of gold. She was also known for her cooking skills everyone loved her food especially those rolls. People would come from miles just to taste her cooking which she enjoyed doing. You walked in her house and you were greeted with a smile, the smell of food cooking, and food for thought. She had a great sense of humor and quick wit kept everyone laughing especially her grandchildren who loved to hang out with her at her house. She was truly a matriarch.Cherishing her life and precious memories are: her loving children: James (Pam) Wooten, Patricia, Melaney, Kevin, and Sylvester Gosha Jr; her grandchildren Aleatha, James, Tanisha, Jessica Wooten ,William Johnson, Patrice and Lasha Gosha, Dasha Parker; Great Grandchildren Paris Foreman, Julez and Cardierre Johnson, Jalea Fair; God-Daughter Jacquelyn Mills, sisters Mildred Hawkins(Detroit MI), Flora Mccall ,Verbie Lewis(Birmingham ALA), Brothers Henry and Monroe Hawkins(Birmingham ALA), and a host of relatives and friends.
