Mrs. Blanche Louise Owens

Obituary Sunrise: January 21, 1938 Blanche Louise Owens was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the proud parents of Mildred Herron and Frank. Born an only child she was the niece like sister to Celeste, Charlotte, Dorothy and Isaiah whom all preceded her in death. She leaves her Uncle like Brother James (Jimmy) to cherish her memories. Life’s journey: Blanche was raised in Cleveland, Ohio where she received her education through the Cleveland Public School System. While serving on the hospitality committee at school she began doing what she so passionately loved and that was cooking and caring for others. Blanche went on to marry Samuel L Otis on July 17, 1954, but the marriage was later dissolved. The two welcomed 3 beautiful children Sandra Otis (deceased), Mary Ann Otis-Conner (deceased) and Samuel Jr. Not knowing the road ahead Blanche was swept off her feet when she met the apple of her eye Charles Calvin Owens. Blanche and Charles went on to welcome 2 lovely daughters Charlotte Barnett, Elizabeth Sopshire and 1 lovely son Charles M Owens. The two later united as one in Holy Matrimony on August 17, 1979 and was together 40+ years before being separated by his death in 2004. Blanche always had a smile on her face and her spirit would fill any room with calmness. She was adored by not only her family but everyone in whom she came in contact with. SUNSET: AUGUST 14, 2017 Blanche closed her eyes on Sunday evening August 13, 2017 and transitioned to her final resting place that Monday. She is now reunited with her Mom Mildred Herron, Husband Charles C Owens, Daughters Sandra (James) and Mary Ann, Sister-in-law Emma (Charles) Jones, Brother-in-laws Larry and Leon Owens, Uncle Isaiah, Aunties Celeste, Charlotte and Dorothy whom all preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memories to her loving children Samuel, Charlotte of Columbus, Elizabeth (Dwayne), Michael (Tonya), son-in law Anthony Conner, Sister-in-Law Elizabeth Mitchell (Jim), and Uncle/Brother James Herron (Mamie). She also leaves 17 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Blanche L Owens was the glue that held the family together and she will be truly missed.
