Andrea Holland Obituary Andrea Holland (Andy), was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Frederick and Anna Green on June 12, 1949. She was the youngest of three children and their only daughter. Andrea was a devoted wife and mother of two sons, who are over 20 years apart. She showered both of them with love, balanced with discipline. She is known for her intelligence, business acumen, raw honesty and love for the word of God. She was a fantastic cook, phenomenal interior painter, skilled chess player, talented visual artist and loved the violin; a true creative spirit. She was verrrry adventurous -- loved to try new things -- and always ready for a road trip. She lived life to the fullest. Andrea graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in 1967. Growing up, she was a “tom boy,” meaning very athletic, enjoyed climbing trees, running, and playing outdoors. She loved baseball and was the pitcher for “The 1-4-9,” a neighborhood baseball team that played other local teams. She was one of the fastest runners in the neighborhood; not many people could beat her in a street race! She was light as a feather. Although she struggled with asthma, it never stopped her. She was always moving: walking, running or driving fast cars! Andrea graduated, Cum Laude, from Dyke College (Meyers University) in Cleveland, Oho in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing degree. She married Deacon Paul Holland II on April 15, 1989. She diligently encouraged and motivated him to continuously excel to higher levels. Together, they launched Holland & Holland Electrical Contractors, Inc. and successfully ran the business until her health began to decline. Andrea was a member of Antioch Baptist Church for most of her life and faithfully served as a Deaconess, Superintendent of Sunday School and Sunday School teacher, to name a few. She was spiritually gifted and had an amazing way of dissecting the Bible and explaining it to others in a way that was easily digestible. She was a true example of how to live a God-centered life and how to be a loyal friend. Andrea leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Deacon Paul Holland II; children Gerald “Tony” Green and Jonathan Paul Holland (Grace); siblings: Frederick “Ricky” Green (Ethel) and Gerald “Jerry” Green (Alicia); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
