Ada Nabors Martin

Ada Martin Obituary Ada Nabors Martin was born to James Nabors and Pearl Jenkins Nabors on September 23, 1925 in Greensboro, Alabama. She was educated in Greensboro and graduated from Hale County Training School in 1943. She then attended Alabama A&M College in Huntsville, Alabama.On December 26, 1945, Ada married Sylvester Martin also from Greensboro, Alabama. To this Union one daughter, Stephanie Pearl was born. Upon moving to Cleveland, Ada and Sylvester joined Triedstone Baptist Church and were faithful members. In February of 1981, this couple moved their membership to the Olivet Institutional Baptist Church. Ada loved her church family and was active in the Rose of Sharon Ministry and the September Birthmonth Ministry. In 1982, Ada retired from General Motors where she had worked for many years. Ada enjoyed participating in several civic and social organizations, her Birthday Club and traveling with her friends.Ada passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011. She leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Quintella Nabors Walker of Ellenwood, GA; one sister-in-law, Sara Alice Coats of Huntsville, AL; one aunt, Juanita W. Nabors of Greensboro, Alabama; a host of loving cousins, nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends and the Olivet family.
